Rajma & pulses
The dark red beans these slopes are known for, along with whatever else the season gave us. Slower to cook than what you buy in the city, and worth every extra minute.

In front of the homestay
Rajma from the fields below the house, Pahari wool for the cold, and everything you realise you forgot once the road runs out.
The shop
The little shop at the front of the house has been serving this village long before anyone thought to call the place a homestay. Shepherds stop here, trekkers heading for Thamsar stop here, and so does everyone in Rajgundha who needs salt or a torch battery.
What is worth carrying home, though, is what the valley grows and makes itself — rajma off the slopes you can see from the window, and wool spun and woven the Pahari way for winters far colder than yours.
What we keep
The dark red beans these slopes are known for, along with whatever else the season gave us. Slower to cook than what you buy in the city, and worth every extra minute.
Sold by the kilo
Caps, socks, shawls and blankets in local wool, made the way they have always been made here. Stock changes through the year, so ask before you set your heart on something.
Seasonal stock
Biscuits, chai, water, batteries, a lighter, the odd pair of gloves. The last place to fix what you forgot before you walk up towards Plachak or the pass.

Taking some home
There is no online cart here, and we would rather be honest than take an order for something that ran out last week. Message us on WhatsApp — we will tell you what is in stock and what it costs.
Staying with us? Just walk down — the shop is at the front of the house.
